Privacy and analytics choices

You can read every Squad Fieldnotes guide without accepting analytics.

Optional visit measurement

When analytics is configured and you accept, Google Analytics 4 helps us understand which guides people read. Google receives technical information such as browser and device details and the network information needed to process the request. Analytics uses cookies and pseudonymous identifiers; this is not fully anonymous data.

Our page-view events use only known guide or site paths. We exclude query strings and URL fragments. For search and referral attribution, we retain only the origin of an external referring website, such as https://www.google.com/, without its path, query or fragment. We do not send names, email addresses or user IDs. Advertising storage, advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled in our tag. We do not use these visits for remarketing.

Your choice and withdrawal

The Google tag stays unloaded until you accept. We save your choice in localStorage until you change it or clear browser data, and in a first-party preference cookie for up to one year. The preference cookie also helps if local storage is unavailable. If your browser blocks both, a choice may last only for the current page and you may be asked again.

Use the button below to stop further collection in this browser and review your choice. It saves a decline, disables the loaded Google tag and attempts to remove accessible analytics cookies. Data already sent, including requests already in progress, cannot be recalled by this control. Accepting again after withdrawal reloads the page to start a fresh analytics session.

Hosting, video and external websites

Cloudflare serves this website and may process request information such as IP addresses for delivery and security, independently of optional analytics. The official trailer uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player and loads only when you press play; that choice is separate from analytics consent. External links lead to websites with their own privacy practices.

Read Google’s privacy policy and Cloudflare’s privacy policy for their handling of information.
